Signature Carpets ✿

Under an industry placement with Signature Carpets, students were asked to produce designs for a high-end Victorian country club. These areas were a cafe space and gaming room which needed a placement design, large repeat and rug design. Using loose ink motifs as a beginning point, these were imported into photoshop where various techniques, filters and indexed colour were used to develop texture.

The brief allowed us to draw on our CAD experience and take more consideration into producing designs for a large area, using abstract mark-making techniques for a contemporary mood & theme. Consideration was also into the high foot traffic for these areas and avoided the use of light colours.
